Lady S takes us to the end of 2022

Thank you to Lady S for giving a full house a great series of poses.  Twelve artists showed up to send 2022 out right.

I want to thank everyone who has kept this group going for 20 or so years.  All of the artists who have passed through, the many models who spent endless hours sitting motionless so that the aforementioned artists could practice and hone their skills.  Most recently it has been MSU-B and Jodi Lightner who have given us a great place to meet.  Before that it was the YAM.  And since we're taking a stroll down memory lane let's not forget that this group was formed with Dwayne Harty and Nicholas Fine Art Gallery.  I hope that we are serving a purpose for the art community here in Billings and that we continue to meet as long as there is an interest.

Thank you all and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

Sunday with Vanessa

Seven artists took advantage of a nice Sunday afternoon with a new model, Vanessa, and a single pose for three hours.  If anyone who was drawing wants to send me their work from today, hit me up and I'll post it here.

Lady S and the holiday in crowd

And now the crowd thins as the holidays and weather start to take hold.  Lady S did her usual great job and there were some nice drawings being done.  Next week will be our last session of 2022 and don't forget that Sunday the 11th is our long pose portrait session.

Lady E always delivers

A big congratulations to all of the students who, across the board, met their required three life drawing sessions outside of the classroom.  Just to let it be known, the student rate applies to any classes we have and students are welcome to any of the sessions.  Practice ain't just for the regularly scheduled curriculum.

A big thank you to Lady E.  Getting to document her pregnancy is a pretty special opportunity and we thank her for sharing this journey.

December 11 will be our second single pose portrait session.  1-4.  Give yourself the opportunity to dig into a drawing and see what happens.

Sunday December 11th Portrait session

Let's do this again, guys.  From 1 - 4 we'll have a single pose session.  Draw, paint or whatever moves you.  If it's messy please bring a drop cloth.  Mark your calendar for December 11th.
